Morse is a startup company located in Night City known to the party as the employer of Ford Oliver. While the company seems to dabble in a number of endeavors - furniture for netrunners, artificial intelligence, etc. - the exact function and goal of the organization is somewhat a mystery. What the group has learned, to this point, is that the organization has significant ties to international criminal syndicates that have funneled funds in via an investor named Lupin Anderson, a prominent entrepreneur in the running for the Night City mayoral race.

The group has recently learned, through Ford, that Morse has experienced a unique series of events leading to what can only be described as “tumultuous turnover.”

The information broker Melpomene has also provided the group with information to pursue regarding an enigmatic initiative run by Morse known as “SCIRE.”

Meet the Team

IN MEMORIUM

  • CEO (Ret.)

Hired by Morse’s founder and President, Giuseppe Morse, James Crockett was an experienced executive with a decent reputation in Night City – far from a visionary, he was known as someone who could run a tight ship but not as the person you want if you're looking to spearhead innovation. Rumors abound that he was chosen to lead Morse because Giuseppe is either too busy world traveling, or that he has too many powerful enemies to stay in Night City for any significant period. As a result, Crockett handled most of the interfacing with clients, investors, and senior leadership.

Crockett’s most significant job detail prior to Morse was as a senior vice president with Biotechnica, but he was driven out of the company due to a checkered personal life involving gambling debts, a kicked narcotics habit, and an affinity for prostitutes of all kinds. He was driven out of Morse in a hostile takeover.

STATUS: DEAD (DETAILS KNOWN TO FORD)

  • VP of Development (Ret.)

Kuzlov was fast tracked for senior leadership since taking his position with Morse, and it showed in his attitude toward others. Arrogant, smug, and contemptuous of anybody who couldn't provide him a faster climb up the corporate ladder, Kuzlov had no shortage of enemies in Night City. As a result, he was often flanked by a team of flunkies that handled his basic needs for him.

He believed that he would find a way to eliminate the only man standing in his way of becoming the next prominent CEO in Night City before hitting his 35th birthday, James Crockett, but his eyes were too big for his stomach.

STATUS: DEAD (DETAILS KNOWN TO FORD)

  • President

Amber Abu-Manneh has always been an underdog. From the outside, she looks like a meek young woman trying to make a living in a man’s world. Resultantly, many men in her life have overlooked her; this has often been to their detriment. Many believe she has the potential to be a significant power broker if she can break free of the shadows of the powerful men in the city holding her back.

Amber worked tirelessly as the executive assistant for Renard Kuzlov, VP of Development for Morse. For the most part, while Renard is wining and dining clients or rubbing elbows on the golf course, Amber was the one developing his presentations, authoring his speeches, and analyzing departments to ensure operational efficiency.

Despite her attractive and diminutive disposition, Abu-Manneh has the calloused hands of a fighter who has put in the work, and she was ready to grab the brass ring when an opportunity to leapfrog Kuzlov at the top of the Morse hierarchy presented itself.

    STATUS: ALIVE, AT MORSE HQ

  • Executive Netrunner

Stewart is a young and aloof Netrunner who desperately seeks to climb the corporate ladder at Morse and make a name for himself in Night City. Assigned to Ford, an executive within Morse, he unwittingly assisted in the counter-intelligence operation conducted by Ford that led to the capture of information pertaining to the murders of James Crockett and Renard Kuzlov. Hates green olives.

  • Press Secretary

Neurotic, hot-headed, and vicious when he has to be, Josh van Whitford is exactly the type of many you want in your corner (even if he’s not somebody you’d always want to share a room with).

Josh works hand-in-hand with Morse's CEO, Amber Abu-Manneh, to develop strategy for squashing damaging stories before they take on a life of their own, and works with Kaylie Altieri to obtain information that he can leverage in silencing critics and rivals alike.

  • VP of Development

Jackson Peoria is a physically lazy and intellectually incurious one in a number of ambiguously titled Morse VPs; a client of Ford’s, Peoria is the epitome of working smarter and not harder. He kills time in his executive training sessions by making idle chat, and often uses his big mouth to direct life in a more convenient way for himself. He was helpful in Ford’s research of the Morse meeting involving Darren Goggins.
